This Privacy Policy explains what information NGO Sathi collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. NGO Sathi is a product of Caris Prudens Tech Pvt. Ltd. (“NGO Sathi”, “we”, “us”).

Information we collect

• Account and sign-in information: when you sign in with WhatsApp, we receive your phone number and an authentication identifier from our authentication provider, Supabase. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
• NGO information: details you provide while setting up your website, such as your organisation’s name, cause area, activities, location, programs, and any photos or documents you choose to upload.
• WhatsApp-related information: the phone number you verify for WhatsApp website updates, and the content of the messages you send us to update your website (text, images, or voice notes).
• Donor and donation information: when a donor gives through your NGO’s donation page, payment is processed directly by our payment partner, Razorpay. We and your NGO receive the donor’s name, email address, and donation amount so a receipt can be issued and your donor records kept up to date.
• Usage information: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically to keep the Service secure and working reliably.

How we use this information

We use the information above to create and authenticate your account, give you access to your NGO dashboard, generate and update your website’s content (including using AI tools to help draft text from the information you provide), send donation receipts, respond to support requests, and keep the Service secure and reliable.

Service providers we use

We share information only with the service providers needed to run NGO Sathi, each of which processes only what its function requires: Supabase (sign-in, authentication, and secure database that stores your account and website data), Razorpay (donation payment processing), Resend (sending donation receipt emails), Vercel (website hosting), Meta WhatsApp Cloud API (WhatsApp messaging), Groq, Google Gemini and DeepSeek (AI tools that help generate website content from the information you provide), Pexels and Unsplash (stock photo search for your website), and Firecrawl (optional import of your existing website’s content during onboarding).

When information may be shared

Beyond the service providers listed above, we may share information with your own NGO’s team members who have access to your dashboard, if required by law or a valid legal process, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets (with notice to you), or with your consent.

We do not sell your personal data

NGO Sathi does not sell your personal information, or your donors’ personal information, to third parties.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase’s managed database infrastructure with access controls restricting who can view it, and is encrypted in transit. Access within our team is limited to what is needed to operate and support the Service.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, plus any additional period required to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations (for example, donation transaction records). When you request deletion, we delete or anonymise your data except where we are required to keep it for those obligations.

Your access, correction, and deletion rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@ngosathi.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

These Terms of Service govern your use of NGO Sathi, operated by Caris Prudens Tech Pvt. Ltd. (“NGO Sathi”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

You can create your NGO website and review free design previews before making any payment. No payment is required to explore your options.

Subscription plans and billing

Once you choose a website, you can subscribe to a paid plan (Sathi Starter, Sathi Growth, or Sathi Impact) described on our Pricing page, each with its own monthly limits on automatic donation receipts and WhatsApp publishing updates. There is no setup fee. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and remain active until the end of the current billing period. Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year.

Refunds

Subscription payments are covered by our Refund Policy.

Your account

You must provide accurate information about your NGO and keep your sign-in credentials secure. Access to update your website through WhatsApp is limited to the verified phone number(s) registered on your account.

Acceptable use

The Service is for lawful NGO and nonprofit use. You agree not to use WhatsApp updates or your donation pages to send spam or fraudulent campaigns, to misrepresent your organisation, or to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content, photos, and NGO information you submit. You grant NGO Sathi a licence to host, display, and process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

Donations

Donations made through your website are processed directly by Razorpay to your organisation’s own payment account. NGO Sathi does not charge a commission on donations received through your website.

Service availability

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis and may occasionally be limited by the third-party providers we rely on to operate it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for non-payment or for violating these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time as described above.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NGO Sathi’s total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date below when we do, and continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

This Refund Policy applies to NGO Sathi subscription payments only.

Free preview first

You never pay before seeing your free website design previews. You choose a plan and pay only when you are ready to publish.

7-day refund window

If you are not satisfied after subscribing, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment, provided your NGO website has not yet been published live. This 7-day window applies to both monthly and annual plans.

After the window or after publishing

Once your website has been published, or once the 7-day window has passed — whichever happens first — payments are non-refundable, including for the remaining period of an annual plan.

Donor donations are not covered

This policy covers only your NGO Sathi subscription fees. Donations made by donors through your NGO’s donation page are processed directly by Razorpay to your organisation and are not covered by this policy — a donor refund is a matter between your NGO and the donor.

How to request a refund

Email support@ngosathi.com within the eligible window with your account details. We aim to process approved refunds within a reasonable time, using your original payment method.
